Radix Fire Resistant Cable Class

The JATC would like to thank Eli Mike and Radix cable for coming in and informing us on the significant changes to UL 2196.  It was great to have a company representative come in and provide our Local with the most accurate, up to date information.  Thanks for your time and expertise.

School Starts!

Back to School for the Western Colorado Electrical JATC Apprentices.

Hopefully, everyone had a great summer vacation and is ready to hit the books.

Class for 2nd and 4th Year students will start Sept 10th, while 1st, 3rd and 5th will start up on Sept 17th.

Here is to another great year of training and learning.

Code Calc PDU

Join us this coming Tuesday for the first night of a two night, NEC Theory and Code Calculations class. It will be held at the Training Center, from 5 to 9 pm. The cost is FREE for IBEW members and just $75 for non-members.

Southwire Training

A BIG thanks goes out to the fellas from Southire Tools and Products.  We had over 30 guys get trained on the latest Southwire conduit and wire products.  It is a competitive market out there, only with the most current training and knowledge will we get the contracts and make our bids.  Thanks for coming in and bettering ourselves.

If you are interested in seeing the new MB1000 Bending Table, come on in and check it out.  One hell of a product I would say!

2015 NTI

We just got back from Ann Arbor, MI and the Electrical Training ALLIANCE’s National Training Institute (NTI).  This is the annual gathering of Instructors, Directors and support personal from the nation’s best JATC’s.  This year our instructors attended training on Hands on Labs for AC Theory and Power Quality and Concepts in Foremanship.  These are two great subjects that we are excited to bring back to our program.

A big thanks goes out to Fluke and their support of the labs and demonstrations.  It was great to play with the big meters and see it all come together.

Southwire Conduit Class

The WCJATC and Southwire invite you to a night of free training!

The Training Center will be hosting Doyle Elder, designer of the MB1000 Bend Station Pro, and Mike Duran, Regional Territory Manager, Monday, August 17th at 5 -8 pm

Doyle will be showing you the skills and tricks of the trade for you to master any bend, while Mike will show us all the new SIMpull Apps and other new products from Southwire.

Come and refine your conduit skills and learn about the all of the new product coming from Southwire.
